Humans resist sleep
OBS-286 · Human behavior · rest
Humans willingly spend one-third of their lives unconscious.
This does not concern them.
Suggest a twenty-minute rest in the middle of the afternoon, and suddenly there are principles involved.
They invent coffee to postpone rest, then buy weighted blankets to imitate the comfort they postponed.
I have begun to suspect exhaustion is one of humanity's quietest hobbies.
